Bosch Automatic Fire Detector 420/320 Series
Innovation
Incorporating additional sensors that do not rely on smoke is the only way to create a fire detector that is suitable for a wider range of critical applications. The Automatic Fire Detector uses a combination of optical, heat and CO gas detectors to significantly improve its performance under critical environmental conditions.
So there is a wide range of sensor combinations. Choose the optimal combination for your individual requirements.
- Thanks to algorithms and integrated alarm pattern comparison, all Automatic Fire Detectors achieve the highest level of intelligent fire detection
- Drift compensation ensures consistent high responsiveness
- The alert characteristics are programmable to ensure fast, reliable alarms under any room conditions
- Analogue data can be read out for diagnostics (hours of operation, current measurement values of the O, T and C sensors)
- A special blow-free device on the back of the detector enables easy cleaning of the optical chamber
Benefits
- Thanks to incorporated algorithms and integrated alarm pattern comparison, all Automatic Fire Detectors achieve the highest level of intelligent fire detection.
- Active monitoring of the alert electronics ensures high system reliability.
- Active contamination recognition extends service life. An early warning function with pre-alarms optimizes protection.
- Easy to install, easy cleaning and maintenance
- The central LED alarm display is visible from any angle, so the base can be installed in any direction.
- Low power consumption.
- The detector housing can be painted.
- Manual or automatic address assignment.
By correct weighting and combining three detector signals while taking account of the different timing of non-fire and fire signals, this detector achieves extremely high noise immunity and detection quality.
Features
The Optical O detector is ideal for all standard applications in which early warning of fire situations is a must. Sophisticated signal processing correctly interprets characteristic patterns and time responses of fires, and special analysis functions are integrated to suppress non-fire nuisance signals. This feature alone makes it clearly superior to other commonly used optical detectors.
The "Thermal T"
Accurate detection of temperature fluctuations is the special strength of the Thermal T. It responds when the temperature exceeds a certain threshold, while also taking the rate of rise into account. Various threshold settings can be chosen in compliance with EN54-5.
Combining the sophisticated signal processing capabilities of the Optical O detector and temperature sensing, this fire detector delivers failsafe accuracy. Both signals are checked against one another for plausibility, allowing its use in more critical environments.
The "Optical-Thermal-Chemical OTC"
The OTC therefore uses a combination of optical, heat and CO gas detectors to significantly improve its performance under critical environmental conditions. By correct weighting and combining the three signals while taking account of the different timing of non-fire and fire signals, this detector achieves extremely high noise immunity and detection quality.
Also available in conventional technology:
The 320 series comprises optical, heat, combined optical-heat and optical-chemical versions, which, with a choice of mounting bases, suit a variety of applications. Besides small commercial industry, retail stores and institutional fire system installations, .the detector finds also its use as an addition together with intrusion panels or in residential applications. The different alarm resistances give the option to connect the detectors to virtually any conventional fire panel available on the market.
Application
With the operating voltage range of 8.5 to 30 V DC and the choice of different alarm resistances of 820 Ohms and 470 Ohms, the new 320 series is compatible with Bosch, as well as with third-party and OEM fire panels. Also four wire connection to panels and base sounder connection is supported. The detector finds also its use as an addition together with intrusion panels or in residential applications.
